Hem of the skirt of the motherly Party
June 6, 2025October 12 2022 was the 76th anniversary of the establishment of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School.
While looking round the revolutionary museum on his visit to the school that day, the respected
For children, the hem of the skirt of mother is the synonym for the mother’s care, as they always cling to it first whenever they are happy or depressed. It is the common feeling of every child that if they hold on the hems of their mothers’ skirts, they get courageous and feel strong without fear, though they are on a long journey at night, hungry and tired. Therefore, people never forget all their life the hems of the skirts, to which they clung regardless of time in their childhood, as their mothers would wrap them up with the skirts when they felt cold, giving them courage lest they should lose heart and fulfilling their wishes.
Under the warm care of President
As they grew older in mind than their age through the KCU organizational life, they fought against the enemies by forming the children’s guards and children’s guerrillas when the country was suffering the ravages of war. In peacetime, they voluntarily found and did good things to contribute to socialist construction and the economic life of the country as they sent “Sonyon(boy)” tanks, planes and warships, which can be found nowhere else in the world, to the Korean People’s Army.
For KCU members, the red tie is the symbol of the red flag stained with the blood of the revolutionary forerunners and is precisely part of the flag of the WPK. And it reflects the proud course covered by the Korean children’s movement and the greatest trust the Party has placed on them.
Today, the KCU is developing into a powerful organization of future successors to the revolution and Korean schoolchildren are preparing themselves to be future pillars of the country. This reality is the product of the ardent affection of the respected General Secretary
It is the steadfast will of the General Secretary that more sincere efforts should be made and unstinting love should be shown for the younger generations under unfavourable conditions, despite the shortage of very many things and though there are lots of problems that should be tackled without delay.
The Party presented the KCU members with the red tie by reflecting the sincere devotion of the great mother in it. Wherever the KCU red tie flutters, there is the warm loving care of the motherly Party.
Even in times of severe hardship, the Korean schoolchildren continued to be provided with the Mindulle-brand notebooks and Sonamu school bags, and the children’s camps and extracurricular educational bases across the country continued to be run and thereby the children could bring their dreams and hopes into full bloom and their happy laughter and singing kept resounding throughout the country.
That is why KCU members treasure the red tie, part of the fluttering flag of the WPK, as the hem of the skirt of the motherly Party and prepare themselves to be the reliable builders and pillars of the country desired by the Party.
