Russian defence minister refers to tasks of collective security treaty organization
June 3, 2025Russian Defence Minister Andrei Beloussov mentioned the tasks facing the collective security treaty organization in a meeting of the council of defence ministers of the organization on May 28.
Asserting that the combined armed forces of the organization should not reduce the intensity of the operation and combat posture, he pointed to the need for the units and military commanding organs to take account of the combat experience of special military operations of Russia in the course of training.
It is important for the organization to promote cooperation with international alliances, particularly the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, while positively enhancing mutual cooperation between member states, he said.
He emphasized that the fulfilment of the above-mentioned tasks will boost the effectiveness of activities of the collective security treaty organization in the security field.
