The Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea sent on May 24 a message of condolence to the state funeral commission for former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Duc Luong.

The SPA Standing Committee of the DPRK in its message expressed deep condolences to the government and people of Vietnam and the bereaved family upon hearing the sad news that Tran Duc Luong passed away.

Although Comrade Tran Duc Luong passed away, the feats he performed for the cause of socialist construction of the Vietnamese people and the development of the friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Vietnam will remain forever in the hearts of the peoples of the two countries, the message stressed.
