The Russian ambassador to Japan told TASS on May 5 that Tokyo will be the first victim of Washington’s geopolitical gamble.

Japan’s more active involvement in several “extended deterrence” plans relying on US’ nuclear weapons constitutes a dangerous move undermining the regional stability, he said. 

As the Japanese authorities do not recognize that the country would be the first victim in case the US’ nuclear war scenario is played out, they are blindly following it, he noted.
