An Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman censured the US for applying new sanctions on May 1.

As to the fact that the US administration has decided to mount new sanctions on objects of other countries which cooperated with the country, he described it as an act of economic terrorism.

The sanctions moves of the US are an illegal and reckless act that infringes upon the sovereignty and interests of other countries and wrecks friendly and lawful relations between developing countries, he exposed.

This is clear evidence showing that the US policymakers lack sincerity in diplomacy and are taking contradictory attitudes toward it, he stressed.
