Sergey Shoigu, secretary general of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, criticized Europe’s frantic moves for war preparation at an interview with TASS on April 23.

Saying that the manoeuvrings of unfriendly states to inflict a “strategic defeat” on Russia were doomed to failure, he noted that such unexpected development of situation is forcing the West to grope for a new way out for maintaining its domination.

Totally undisguised moves for preparing for military conflicts with Russia are being made in Europe, he said, denouncing European politicians and military officials for trying to complete war preparations by 2030.
