The Phyongchon Koryo Medicine Pharmaceutical Factory produces hundreds of articles of highly-effective Koryo medicines of dozens of kinds.

Recently, it has developed more than ten articles of medicines.

In particular, various kinds of medicines for cold are popular with users for their high efficacy.

The factory confirmed medicinal substances, which are more effective in treating the cold, in collaboration with researchers of different units and established a modern production process to produce new medicines.

“People usually use Western medicines for the treatment of cold but it lowers the immunity of the human body and has a negative effect on other organs. But medicines for cold produced by the factory, including the honeysuckle and forsythia leaf cold granule, have no such effect on the human body,” said analyzer Choe Song Ok.

The medical skullcap and sweet wormwood cold granule, honeysuckle and licorice antipyretic granule and other cold remedies are Koryo medicines highly effective in treating pyrexia in a mild case of COVID-19, trachelodynia caused by cold, cough and stuffed nose.  

The factory used such medicinal herbs as insam (ginseng) and Ganoderma lucidum to produce insam and Ganoderma lucidum fermented beverage.

This fermented drink is an immunomodulator made by extracting and mixing various bioactive substances including essential amino acids and different kinds of trace elements.

Drinking the beverage regularly every day helps preserve beauty and youth by making skin lustrous and increasing the capacity for exercise and promotes brain development and body growth among children and the elderly by improving their memory and strengthening their bones.
