Graduates of Kanggye University of Education and Chongjin O Jung Hup University of Education petitioned to be sent to the honourable posts in the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu with a desire to become outpost soldiers of the Workers' Party of Korea’s ideological front to instil the spirit of Paektu in the working people and youth.

Those of Kanggye University of Education, Kanggye Teachers Training College, Wonsan University of Education, Wonsan Ri Su Dok Teachers Training College and Kim Jong Suk Teachers Training College volunteered for schools in frontline areas, remote mountain villages and rural areas and branch schools on islands.

Among the graduates who volunteered for rural schools and branch schools in remote mountain villages are young people who studied to their heart’s content at "pedigree farms" for the education of younger generations after graduating from primary and middle schools for orphans under the loving care of the motherly Party, with a mind to repay it.

Present at the congratulatory meetings held on the spot on March 23 were Kim Yong Hwan, chief secretary of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the WPK, Jon Yong Jae and Kim Song Chol, secretaries of the Jagang and Kangwon provincial committees of the WPK, officials concerned, youth league officials, youth and students.

Officials, youth and students encouraged the volunteers as they presented them with bouquets.
