On March 18, the Dutch parliament rejected dependence on the US in the technological field.

The parliament said that the full dependence on the technology of the US threatens the independence and cyber security of the state and pointed to the need to prevent the information communications technologies of the country from draining to the American technology businesses.

And it demanded the government take its own technological development measures to guarantee the security of communications and database, free from the dependence on the US.
