Sea level rises at unexpectedly fast rate last year

March 19, 2025

Recently, foreign experts made public the data showing that last year sea level of the Earth rose at an unexpectedly fast speed.

According to the data, the so far expected numerical value was 4.3mm a year but that measured by satellite was 5.9mm.

The rise in sea level reportedly became over two times faster for 30 years until 2023.

This is attributed to the ice on the earth melted by global warming and its inflow into the sea.

An expert said that the rise in sea level varies every year but it obviously continues and furthermore, it is accelerating.
