Last year, North Hwanghae Province renovated the Sariwon Duck Farm. 

The province set a goal of modernizing the duck farm as its population has increased. 

It removed the previous buildings and built in a short period a new farm with over 10 production blocks, a feed processing ground, a sci-tech learning space, an office building and welfare facilities. 

What all the employees of the farm were very proud of in the course of building the new farm was that they established by their own efforts modern production processes with facilities which are never inferior to imported ones. 

 The technical group of the province pooled wisdom to make the machines and equipment for all processes, including the processing and conveyor process, in a short span of time and made wonderful machines and devices needed for feed processing and hatching.  

As a result, the modernized duck farm running under an integrated production and veterinary and anti-epizootic systems was completed in ten months and inaugurated last December.

Officials and employees of the duck farm now work hard to make a positive contribution to improving the living standards of the people in the province by introducing breeds of duck which are high in productivity and egg-laying rate and tasty.
