An awards ceremony for the ten best agricultural counties and 30 best farms for 2024 took place on February 26.

Present there were Ri Chol Man, vice-premier of the Cabinet and chairman of the Agricultural Commission, officials of the commission and agricultural guidance organs at all levels and officials of the units that were selected as ten best agricultural counties and 30 best farms.

True to the programme for the rural revolution in the new era, they took the lead in all aspects including the introduction of advanced farming methods and technology, the agricultural informatization, the irrigation construction and the increased proportion of the farm work done by machines.

Selected as the ten best agricultural counties were Sukchon, Mundok, Yomju, Sinchon, Anak, Paechon, Yonggwang and Hwadae counties and Jongju and Hoeryong cities, and the 30 best farms included the Isan Farm of Kangnam County, the Yakjon Farm, the Yoldusamchon Farm and the Chaeryong Farm of Sukchon County, the Ryongnim Farm of Mundok County, the Wonhwa Farm of Phyongwon County, the Namsang Farm of Pukchang County, the Hyongbong Farm of Tokchon City, the Unjong Farm of Sonchon County, the Ilhae Farm of Jongju City, the Toksong Farm and the Oguk Farm of Anak County, the Saenal Farm of Sinchon County, the Samjigang Farm of Jaeryong County, the Chujong Farm of Paechon County, the Sobong Farm of Yonan County, the Migok Farm of Sariwon City, the Subong Farm of the North Hwanghae Provincial Rural Economy Committee, the Sangjung Farm of Yonggwang County, the Ingye Farm of Hoeryong City, the Township Farm of Hwadae County, the Yombun Farm of Kyongsong County, the Wangjaesan Farm of Onsong County, the Nongsadong Farm of Taehongdan County, the Kangson Farm of Chollima District, the Chongsan Farm of Kangso District, the Chaeryon Farm of Phanmun District etc.

The certificates of the best prize were awarded to the 10 cities and counties selected as the best agricultural counties and 30 farms selected as the best farms, together with relevant prizes.
