The 46th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic revolution was celebrated in Iran on February 10. 

A celebratory rally took place at Azadi Square in Teheran.

Many citizens went to the venue of the meeting, waving national flags and chanting slogans.

On display along the streets were ultra-modern military hardware showing the achievements of the country in bolstering its defence capabilities.

President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the meeting. 

Saying that the secret of the victory of the Islamic revolution was the unity and powerful advance of the people, he noted that the Iranian people have resolutely defeated every threat and plot of the enemies since the victory of the revolution.

He emphasized that if all the Iranian people rise up together, they can overcome any difficulty and challenge, frustrating the wild dream of the enemies, including the US, to bring Iran to its knees. 

That day, similar meetings and events were held in many other local cities.
