European crisis a product of servitude to US

February 9, 2025

European countries are now in a serious situation. In France prime minister was replaced several times in a year, and in Germany the internal contradictions of the ruling coalition exploded with the result that the government collapsed and the nonconfidence motion against the prime minister was passed. The situation of other European countries is similar.

A newspaper of a country said that the situation in Europe is noticeably bad, that the economic problems of Europe are not simply stagnation but greater nuisances and that European countries have been thrown into a dilemma.

The countries have suffered from a constant political and economic crisis. But it is rare that almost every country in Europe has been plunged into political confusion at the same time, a fatal crisis being created in all economic fields, like today.

This is because they, being pressed by the US’ high-handedness, have not maintained their own view but pursued the policy of following the US.

Europe, which had already followed the US’ anti-Russia policy, has further intensified sanctions against Russia since the outbreak of the Ukrainian crisis. As required by the US, it squandered a large sum of money on supporting Ukraine and took a “bold step” to ban the import of energy from Russia.

However, it boomeranged.

As energy from Russia became a target of sanctions, European countries had to purchase energy from the US at the price several times higher than before. The high price of energy has sharply reduced the competitiveness of European businesses. Many of them had to reduce or stop production. Some have moved to other places beyond the region for survival.

The prices of gas and food for the ordinary people also rose in general and inflation peaked.

Germany and other European countries have been in great confusion because of rapid decline in production, uncontrollable inflation, constantly rising prices and millions of jobless people wandering the streets.

Blocking energy supply from Russia resulted in wringing the windpipe of Europe. The government of every European country has become the target of criticism by its people. Large-scale protest demonstrations took place in different parts of Europe and the complaints about the governments grew day by day. Taking advantage of this trend, politicians fought to expand their footholds and hold power by mobilizing public opinion. This entailed frequent changes of governments in Europe.

The problem is that European countries are repeating mistakes despite their constant bitter experience.

Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Spain, and the UK still offer to increase support for Ukraine as they allocate additional funds.

In this regard, analysts say that the real intention of the EU is to find a voice in the international arena with the help of the US and for this reason it has abandoned its former dignity and face.

The serious political and economic crisis in Europe is an inevitable product of its servitude to the US.
