National cookery competition held
February 9, 2025The 13th National Cookery Competition took place at the Pyongyang Noodle House from February 4 to 7 on the occasion of the greatest auspicious February holiday of the nation (the birth anniversary of Chairman
The competition was held divided into the sector of ministries and national agencies, the sector of the Guidance Bureau of Public Catering Service, the public catering sector in Pyongyang Municipality and provinces (cities under the direct control of the government) and the sector of the external service. There took place a technical contest for making various kinds of dishes and drinks including national dishes, famous dishes exhibition, demonstration and instant dish contest.
Present at the closing ceremony held on February 7 were Minister of Commerce Kim Yong Sik who doubles as chairman of the Central Committee of the Cooks Association of Korea, Ri Yong Min, director of the Guidance Bureau of Public Catering Service, officials concerned, cooks and waitresses.
Examination results were announced and diplomas, medals and certificates awarded to the excellent organizations and cooks.
