Iran made public a new-type domestic ballistic missile on February 2.

The missile has a range of 1 700km and can carry a precision guided warhead.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that Iran’s defence capacities have reached such a high level that enemies dare not attack, stressing that strengthening its defence capabilities is aimed at defending the security of the state by restricting every aggression move.

According to a TV broadcasting company on February 1, the Navy of the Iranian Islamic Revolution Guards Corps opened to the public an underground silo where hundreds of domestic anti-ship cruise missiles with a range of over 1 000km are kept.

They reportedly can be launched from the underground base, not from the ground.
