Different sectors and units of the national economy have turned out for the patriotic movement for increased production, taking their cue from the Sangwon Cement Complex.

Cement production units across the country are now taking an active part in the drive. 

The Sunchon Cement Complex vowed to carry out ahead of schedule the plan for this year which has remarkably increased over the production results of last year. Now it continues to advance, renewing the production speed it has already attained. 

While giving definite precedence to the production of fireproof materials and securing materials and fuels, officials and workers in charge of the major process of cement production ensure the clinker production both in quality and quantity by determining the rational mixing ratio of limestone to pulverized coal to be used for the main production and conducting inspections during recesses and cyclic inspections in a responsible way. As a result, limestone is supplied over 10 days earlier, gypsum more than 20 days and clay slate and iron ore over a month, making it possible to markedly raise the rate of operation of kilns over last year.  

The Chonnaeri Cement Factory, which established a floating calcination baking system superior to the existing production method with its own efforts and technology, provided a guarantee for producing much more raw materials by operating the production processes at full capacity and building a new limestone unloading ground. And it supplies various kinds of accessories and parts sufficiently by increasing the rate of operation of newly made and installed processing facilities.  

It carries out the daily production plan 1.2 times on average.

Several cement factories also provide a sure guarantee for increased cement production by shortening the intensive maintenance time of kiln, conveyor, cooler and other equipment.

Officials and workers of the coal mine for supplying coal to Jagang Province, who encouraged the whole country by vigorously waging a socialist patriotic movement for increased coal production two years ago, have turned out for the increased production drive this year, too, after last year.

The goal of the coal mine is reportedly to produce a large quantity of more coal till the end of the year while carrying out its monthly production plans without fail.

It is an uphill task in view of manpower, the supply of materials, the conditions of working faces and others, but its officials and coal miners strive to attain the increased production goal with the determination to greet the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Workers’ Party of Korea with great labour feats.

The Sunchon Thermal Power Station, which has so far produced much electric power from the beginning of the new year, generates more electricity than before with the same amount of coal and materials. Finding the reserves for increased production of steel in reducing the time of steelmaking, the Chollima Steel Complex steps up the increased production drive while promoting joint efforts and mutual emulation to provide a firm guarantee for attaining the highly-set goal of increased steel production in January. 

The Pyongyang General Electric Cable Factory 326 is overfulfilling the plan for producing electric cables to be sent to major sectors, including the construction sites in Pyongyang, every day and the Anju Pump Factory continues to advance in high spirits, producing over 1.2 times of more pumps than planned on daily average.  

“We are not satisfied with 100 percent, let us produce more and more surpassing the rated capacity.” With such a resolution great changes are effected and amazing feats performed across the country.
