Choe Son Hui, foreign minister of the DPRK, sent a message of greeting to Bui Thanh Son, deputy prime minister and foreign minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on January 31 on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. 

The message said that the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries with socialism as its core has invariably advanced along the road of its development despite the complicated and ever-changing international situation and, in particular, the Hanoi summit held in March 2019 marked a historic occasion in which the traditional DPRK-Vietnam friendship developed onto a new high.

It expressed belief that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would grow stronger thanks to close communication and cooperation between the diplomatic fields this year, “the year of friendship”, under the deep care of the top leaders of the two countries.
