Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at a press conference on January 26 that Belarus would continue to advance along the road it chose by itself and no one can check its advance.

Denouncing the EP’s resolution on the presidential election of Belarus as the one for courting the “big brothers” of the US, he said that even if the West does not recognize the election results, nothing will change in Belarus and that his country holds the election for its people, not to follow others’ opinions.

He disclosed that the West is training extremists to be sent to Belarus and anti-government demonstrations in some countries take place under the US administration’s funding and control.

He called upon Europeans to get off the US “aircraft carrier” and Europe to pursue independent politics and join efforts with Russia.
