Many women's union members in the city of Sinuiju and Uiju County of North Phyongan Province volunteered to work in the field of urban management.

Those in Hadan-ri of Sinuiju, who volunteered as workers of the city management station, are determined to turn the villages which have undergone a sea change under the care of the Workers’ Party of Korea into a better place to live in.

Many women's union members including those in Uiju county town decided to work at the greening facility and water supply and drainage stations.

A meeting took place at the North Phyongan Provincial Art Theatre on January 28 to congratulate and see off the volunteers.

Present there were Sin Tong Chol, secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, officials and members of the women's union. Congratulatory remarks and speeches were made there.

A music and dance performance "Our Father", which tells the great love shown by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the flood victims in the province, was given at the meeting.

Women’s union officials and members encouraged the volunteers leaving for their new posts, presenting bouquets to them.
