Over 60 young people in Nampho Municipality have volunteered for the honourable posts of socialist construction.

Those in Onchon County and Chollima and Taean districts advanced to regional-industry factories and raw materials base stations.

Youth league members of Waudo and Kangso districts and Ryonggang County volunteered for construction brigades and the Kumsong Tractor Factory.

Young people of Hanggu District and students of graduating class of Nampho University of Education offered to work at stockbreeding bases and branch schools on remote islets.

A meeting took place at the Nampho Municipal Art Theatre on January 26 to congratulate the volunteers.

Present there were Choe Yong, secretary of the Nampho Municipal Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, youth league officials and other young people. Certificates of volunteering were conferred on the volunteers and congratulatory remarks and speeches were made.

After the meeting was over, a performance was given in honour of volunteers.

Officials and young people warmly saw off the volunteers while giving bouquets to those leaving for their new posts.
