More than 50 young men and women in South Hwanghae Province put their names on the list of volunteers, expressing their will to fulfil the ideals and ambition of youth in the difficult and labour-consuming sectors of socialist construction.

Young people in Sinchon and Songhwa counties decided to work at raw materials base stations and stockbreeding bases.

Those of Haeju City and Unnyul, Ongjin and other counties volunteered as farmers in rural areas.

A meeting took place at the South Hwanghae Provincial Art Theatre to congratulate the volunteers. Present there were Pak Thae Sop, secretary of the provincial committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials concerned and officials and members of the youth league.

Certificates of volunteering were awarded to the volunteers and congratulatory speeches were made.

A congratulatory performance was given at the end of the meeting.

Officials and young people gave a warm send-off to the volunteers who left for new workplaces.
