As the news about young volunteers continues to be reported from across the country, young people in South Hamgyong Province have also offered to work at the major sectors of socialist construction.

Those in the city of Sinpho volunteered for the Sinpho City Offshore Farm.

Youth league members in the cities of Hamhung and Tanchon and the counties of Sinhung, Pukchong and Yonggwang decided to work at the raw materials bases of regional-industry factories, coal mines and construction brigades.

People were deeply moved by those from Hamju and Riwon counties who settled in stockbreeding bases and others from Pujon County who volunteered to work at ridgeway platoons.

A ceremony for congratulating those young people, who volunteered for difficult and labour-consuming sectors, took place in Hamhung on January 15.

Present there were Ri Jong Nam, chief secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, youth league officials and young people. Certificates of volunteering were awarded to them and congratulatory remarks and speeches were made.

Officials and young people gave them a warm send-off presenting bouquets to them who left for the front of economic construction.
