Schoolchildren’s New Year performance goes on
January 9, 2025The schoolchildren’s New Year performance entitled “The happiest day” took place at the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren’s Palace in Pyongyang for consecutive days.
Put on the stage were a variety of numbers including folk dance and janggu (an hourglass drum) beating.
The performers represented their joy of greeting New Year’s Day holding the respected Marshal
Such numbers as light music and a series of dances fully reflected the joy and optimism of schoolchildren who have spent happy days and months under the care of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
The dance tale “We grow up under the flag of the DPRK” got enthusiastic applause. It was staged by the Korean schoolchildren in Japan, who had met the fatherly Marshal and received an honour to be conveyed generation after generation, with the enthusiasm to firmly carry forward the tradition of patriotism.
Working people, youth and students in Pyongyang saw the performance.
