The president of Kazakhstan mentioned the success attained last year in an interview with a newspaper on January 3.

He said that last year his country laid a firm foundation for implementing the five-year plan for national development by taking decisive measures to carry out a new economic line and fully played the role of a peacemaker in the international arena.

Saying that success was also achieved in tackling crucial challenges such as external pressure and natural disasters, he added he would continue to take measures for national development in the future.
