Maria Zakharova, a spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, posted a comment on January 2 accusing the US, the EU and Ukraine of the discontinued delivery of gas from Russia via the Ukrainian territory.

She stated that though the Gazprom Company of her country fulfilled its contractual obligations, it is the Ukrainian authorities that decided on the stoppage of the natural gas transport from Russia.

She stressed that the full responsibility for the stoppage of the gas delivery from Russia lies with the US, the puppet regime of Ukraine and the European countries that sacrificed the interests of their citizens.
