US applies new sanctions against Russia and Iran
January 6, 2025The US imposed sanctions against Russian and Iranian entities on December 31 last year.
The US Treasury Department found fault with an organization related to the Russian military intelligence service and a company under the Islamic Revolutionary Guards of Iran, saying they tried to create socio-political tension during last year’s US presidential election and give their influence over it.
In this regard, the Russian embassy in the US released a statement to reject the US argument, noting that Russia had neither interfered in the internal affairs of other countries including the US nor would do so.
