Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a New Year address to mark 2025.

In the past 24 years in the 21st century, Russia experienced lots of things including historically significant and large-scale events, he said, noting that it set and attained a huge goal and overcame many trials in the period.

All the achievements are attributable to the joint efforts, which strengthened unity and enabled people to believe themselves and their strength and ability, he stated.

Saying that sincere feelings about the country have filled the Russians’ life with a lofty meaning, he stressed that the aspiration to contribute to safeguarding the sovereignty, security, interests and free development of the country has become something honourable to all of them.

He said that the New Year 2025 has been declared as a year of the defenders of the country, wishing all the families and Russia, their beloved country, well-being and prosperity.
