The South Hwanghae Provincial Aviation Club was built and inaugurated in the DPRK.

The construction of the air club with all conditions necessary for acquiring and developing aeronautics, including the general training ground, runway and model plane technique dissemination room, provided working people, youth and schoolchildren with a base for further developing the air sports techniques of the province and enjoying a cultural and emotional life.

Present at the inauguration ceremony held on January 2 were Pak Thae Dok, chief secretary of the South Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials in the province, players, coaches and employees of the provincial aviation club and youth and students in the city of Haeju.

Kim Chol Bom, chairman of the South Hwanghae Provincial People's Committee, made an inaugural address.
