An open-air ice rink built in downtown Pyongyang started operation on December 31 2024 on the occasion of the hope-filled New Year 2025.

The winter mass sports service centre, which has all necessary service facilities including protective walls, skate lending and repair rooms and a soft-drink shop, was crowded with citizens from the first day of its operation.

Optimistic looks of working people, youth, students and children cheerfully skating and sledging at the open-air ice rink added to the scenery of the capital city greeting the New Year 2025.

The ice rink is open mainly in the evening time, and service time is set according to weather conditions.
