2024 forecasted to be hottest year
December 18, 2024The Copernican climate change service, the meteorological information agency of the European Union, has recently reported that this year will be the hottest one since 1850 when meteorological observation started.
According to the agency, the global mean temperature between January and November this year was 0.14℃ higher than the same period of last year and 0.72℃ higher than the same period between 1991 and 2020.
It stated that, based on such data, it can basically confirm that 2024 will be the hottest year in the history of observation.
It also forecasted that this year’s global mean temperature will be 1.5℃ higher than before the Industrial Revolution for the first time.
