Russian presidential press secretary Dmitri Peskov denounced the confrontational line of the US and West in a press conference on December 3.

European countries still pursue a destructive line to go on with a war, he said, expressing the stand of Russia not to give up special military operations before carrying out all tasks.

Asserting that Russia regards Ukraine’s potential entry into NATO as a threat, he stressed that this was one of the causes of the launch of the special military operations and is totally contrary to the stand of his country on security.

Though the present US administration is making every attempt to keep the military conflict in Ukraine going, military assistance can neither change the situation nor have influence on the front, he added.

Earlier on December 2, the US said that it would offer Ukraine missiles, drones and other military hardware worth hundreds of millions of US dollars.
