Military delegation of Russian Federation arrives in Pyongyang
November 30, 2024A military delegation of the Russian Federation led by Minister of Defence Andrei Beloussov arrived in Pyongyang on November 29 to visit the DPRK at the invitation of the DPRK Ministry of National Defence.
The flags of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation were fluttering at the flagstaffs at Pyongyang International Airport, and the guard of honour of the Korean People's Army (KPA) lined up at the apron before the terminal.
The delegation were greeted by No Kwang Chol, minister of National Defence of the DPRK, Jong Kyong Thaek, director of the KPA General Political Bureau, other commanding officers of the Ministry of National Defence, officials concerned, KPA officers and men, Alexandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of his embassy.
A woman soldier of the KPA presented a bouquet to Andrei Beloussov.
There was a ceremony for welcoming the Russian military delegation.
The national anthems of the Russian Federation and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea were played.
Guided by No Kwang Chol, Andrei Beloussov reviewed the KPA guard of honour.
KPA officers and men gave a big clap to the Russian delegation to warmly welcome it with warm militant friendship toward the Russian service personnel and people who are displaying matchless bravery and unity in the just struggle to defend the sovereign rights and security of the country from the vicious challenges and threats from the hostile forces.
The Russian military delegation headed for the lodging quarters amid the welcome by KPA officers and men.
