Hackberry is a tall broadleaf tree belonging to the elm family.

Riwon hackberry grows in Kokgu-ri located about ten kilometres northeast of the Riwon county town.

It is an old tree, which has grown since around 1730.

It is 27 metres tall, 3.3 metres round at the root neck, 2.4 metres round at the chest height and about 15 metres at the crown.

It ramifies into two branches at the height of 3 metres, forming a good-looking round crown.
