Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the State Duma of Russia, said on November 17 that to attack the interior of the Russian territory with US-made missiles will bring about grave results of the escalation of conflict.  

American newspaper The New York Times reported that the present US President Biden allowed Ukraine to strike the Russian territory with US-made tactical ballistic missiles. In connection with this, he said that if it is true, it will mean that the US will directly participate in the Ukrainian conflict.

He noted that Russia will take the severest countermeasures according to a threat to be created against the country. 

That day, the Russian president’s press secretary told the Russian state-run TV and radio broadcasting company that the US is using Ukraine as a tool for inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia. 

Western countries continue to demand that Ukraine inflict a defeat on Russia in battlefields and justify the delivery of weapons to Ukraine, he added.
