There are so many hot springs in the DPRK that people have widely used them for their daily life and promotion of health from olden times.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the hot spring area of Yangdok County in August 2018 and said that though the country has many famous wells, the hot spring culture had not yet developed and that all the hot spring areas should be spruced up gradually.

In December 2019, the Yangdok Hot Spring Resort furnished with indoor and outdoor spas, ski slopes, a horse riding park and others was wonderfully built as a comprehensive hot spring treatment service base and a multifunctional complex for sporting and leisure activities.

Since then, many ordinary working people have visited it to enjoy a new hot spring culture to their heart’s content.
