Socialism is lifeblood of DPRK people

November 14, 2024

Socialism is the lifeblood of the DPRK people.

This is because socialism is a country for ordinary workers, farmers and other working people.

Several decades ago, a meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea was held suddenly. The agenda item was related to the labour protection conditions of a mine. Many officials and workers regarded it as an inevitable matter, but Chairman Kim Jong Il regarded it as a matter of view of the people and dealt with it seriously.

When the chief secretary of the provincial committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, who was criticized at the meeting, said to Kim Jong Il that he was very sorry for failing to work properly, the Chairman said that he should apologize to workers, not asking for his forgiveness, adding that the premier and himself, to say nothing of the chief secretary, should kneel down and apologize to the workers for making them work under such conditions.

The following day, there took place a meeting for apology as an extension of the meeting at the mine.

Thanks to the outlook of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who values the people most in the world, a hostel of such ordinary working people as weavers and cultural and welfare facilities were built as nicely as parks and palaces, so that they can work merrily singing songs. This is the reality of the DPRK.

Ordinary workers and farmers are elected deputies to the Supreme People’s Assembly to discuss the state affairs and exercise their political rights.

Last year, too, Kim Jong Un personally participated in the election of deputies to provincial, city and county people’s assemblies and voted for Kim Chung Hyok, manager of the Songun Foundry of the Ryongsong Machine Complex who was a candidate for deputy to the South Hamgyong Provincial People’s Assembly, Ri Chol Hak, manager of Machine Workshop No. 3 of the Ryongsong Machine Complex who was a candidate for deputy to the Hamhung City People's Assembly, and Rim Chol, deputy director of the Haean District Statistics Department who was a candidate for deputy to the Haean District People’s Assembly in Hamhung, and encouraged them to become genuine representatives of the people and their true servants who strive to defend and satisfy their rights and demands.

The people-centred socialist system in which the people are masters of the country and everything serves them is not a political expression or a phrase for propaganda.

The DPRK now builds dwelling houses on a large scale to provide them to the people free of charge.

The ten-year revolution for regional development also reflects the noble idea of fulfilling the centuries-old desire of the Korean people.

Besides, the people live under the benefits of the state which cannot be counted for money.

The buildings for children and people are located in the best places of the country and they are called after the word “people”.

It is Korean socialism where they are treated preferentially as they are the people and workers.

At the meeting with many people who suffered flood damage last August, the respected General Secretary said that flood victims deserve the warmest hospitality and due services only for the great role of reliably supporting the Party and state and the proud sense of being masters who will shoulder the future of the country.

Though they had been left homeless after experiencing unexpected disaster, they cherished deeper trust in the Party and the socialist country, looking up to Kim Jong Un, who came to the dangerous places of disasters for them and showed them warm paternal affection repeatedly.

Like this, for the Korean people, socialism is their life and everything, not merely an ideal.

That is why they devote their all to the struggle for a greater victory of the socialist cause.
