New modern houses have appeared at the Jaktong Farm in Poptong County of Kangwon Province.

A ceremony for moving into the houses took place with the attendance of Kim Myong Chol, secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and officials of the Party and power organs, working people and builders in the county.

Pak Yong Chan, vice-chairman of the provincial people's committee, made a congratulatory speech.

Licences for the use of houses were handed over and vowing speeches made.

The residents moved into new houses amid cheerful dances and officials visited new houses to congratulate the owners.
