Russia’s deputy security council chief decries West’s external policies
November 7, 2024Dmitri Medvedev, vice-chairman of the Security Council of Russia, denounced the external policies of the West in an interview with RT TV on November 2.
Western countries, including the US, had a completely wrong understanding of the Russian economy, he said, asserting that the economy of his country has not collapsed but is growing, despite all sorts of sanctions, and the sanctions by the West have boomeranged on Europe to expose their vulnerability.
Noting that, unlike the US seeking its own interests, Europe, which has been reduced to the slave of America, is in depression, he said that almost all the countries on the continent are in difficult circumstances and Germany, which can be said to be the engine of the European economy, has got into utter confusion.
Americans are making money by dint of sanctions and conflicts, which cost many people’s lives and blood, he said, adding that that’s why the US is indulging in wars but such system will come to an end.
