DPRK wins 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup

Amid the attention of football experts, fans and spectators across the world, the final match between the DPRK and Spanish teams took place on November 3(local time).
The DPRK eleven played the game dynamically, putting pressure on the opponent by active tackles from the outset.
Although they lost a point first in the second half, they mounted persistent attacks while intensifying mutual cooperation, without slowing down in the least.
In the 66th minute, No. 7 Jon Il Chong avoided the Spanish goalkeeper and scored a goal by correctly kicking the ball passed by No. 19 through the rear space of the opponent backs.
As no more goals were scored, the two teams had to go through a penalty shoot-out.
In the thrilling shoot-out, the DPRK team beat the Spanish 4-3.
As a result, the DPRK defeated Spain 5-4(1-1 in the first and second halves and 4-3 in the shoot-out) and thus won the World Cup.
They won six matches from the group league matches to the final, scoring 14 goals in total.
No. 7 Jon Il Chong, who displayed high skills and made a contribution to the team’s victory with a decisive goal, was chosen as the most valuable player.
In the awarding ceremony, the DPRK women, who won the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, were awarded the trophy and gold medals and Jon Il Chong the Golden Ball, the award for the most valuable player.
