The 2024 National Open Table-Tennis Tournament began in the DPRK.
The tournament has brought together more than 200 table-tennis experts and fans from different parts of the country. They will complete in the men's and women's singles of experts and fans, men's and women's singles of fans (under 45 years old and over 46 years old) and men's and women's doubles and mixed doubles with experts and fans in groups.
An opening ceremony took place at the Table-Tennis Gymnasium on Chongchun Street in Pyongyang on November 3.
Present there were Hong Myong Ryong, general manager of the Korea National Insurance Corporation who doubles as chairman of the table-tennis association, officials of the association, players and others.
An address was made at the ceremony.
Then, there took place group league matches of mixed doubles and men's and women's singles matches of experts and fans.
