The DPRK Cabinet hosted a reception at the Okryu Restaurant on October 29 to welcome the DPRK table-tennis team which proved successful at the 2024 Asian Table-Tennis Championships.

Present there were Vice-Premier Kim Myong Hun, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Kim Il Guk, officials concerned, officials in the field of sports and players and coaches of the table-tennis team.

Kim Myong Hun made congratulatory remarks at the reception.

He called on all players and coaches to conduct intensive training with an ambition to become world champions and perfect Korean-style tactics to bring honour to the country with gold medals.

Kim Kum Yong in her reply speech expressed the will to put spurs to the training, bearing in mind this honour, and thus live up to the trust and expectations of the country and people with greater success in the games.
