Unusual season

October 21, 2024

In the DPRK, there are clear distinctions between four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter.

But a new “season” has been coined in the country.

It is the “season of moving into new houses” welcomed by all people.

In recent years alone, there have been several inauguration ceremonies of 10 000 flats in Pyongyang and the happy news of moving into new houses excited the whole country. Under the circumstances, the balmy spring became the “season of moving into new houses” when the people were overflowing with joy.

But now the whole year has become the “season of moving into new houses”.

Happy events of moving into new houses take place in succession not only in the capital city but also in local areas.

New scenes of the people dancing with great joy of moving into new houses they received gratis and the procession of trucks carrying their household goods unfold everywhere across the country. The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un put forward a grand plan for building 50 000 flats in Pyongyang in order to provide the people with excellent houses. He has ushered in a new era of regional transformation with the construction of new fairyland villages, modern dwelling houses and new regional-industry factories.

With new houses being on the increase, everyone says that “new houses are built here and there” as a song sings.

“The whole country is full of happiness every day as new streets appear in Pyongyang and new villages in the countryside. Hearing the happy news of moving into new houses across the county every day, we are confident of the more brilliant and beautiful future of the country,” said Ri Kyong Chol, workteam leader of the Ryonghung Farm in Thaechon County.

The “season of moving into new houses” serves as the great motive power of the advance of the country.

All the people are turning out in the struggle for the overall development of the country with a patriotic mind to repay the benevolent care of the country, which builds modern houses with great investment and provides ordinary working people with them for free.
