Factory produces 1.5 times more tiles than peak year level every day

October 15, 2024

The Chollima Tile Factory, a building materials production base of the DPRK, is seething with the production of finishing materials for major construction projects.

While running the existing first- and second-stage production processes at full capacity, the factory intensified the planning, guidance, technical innovation and socialist emulation drive for ensuring the full-capacity operation of interior wall tile production line No. 1 of the third stage built last year. As a result, it is daily producing tiles over 1.5 times as much as last year when the peak year level was attained.

It also organizes and directs production in a responsible manner to make all the members of workshops and workteams ensure close coordination between processes, while focusing on full-capacity operation of equipment. It takes measures in advance to supply raw materials and secure parts and puts great efforts to the technical updating of production processes and the improvement of quality.

Since construction sites across the country demand more and more exterior wall tiles, the factory officials and workers and technicians of interior wall tile workshop No. 1 rationally remodelled the production processes and introduced ideal baking temperature curves and furnace operation techniques in keeping with the characteristics of raw materials, thereby steadily boosting the capacity of equipment and the quality of products.

The officials, workers and technicians of the marble tile, ceramic roofing tile and decorative tile workshops are also conducting an energetic socialist emulation drive between workshops, between workteams and between shifts to record high output every day.

The factory recently developed and produced various patterned and functional tiles, including brick- and natural-stone-patterned tiles, anion-generating tiles and antibiotic tiles. Without resting on its laurels, it keeps unveiling finishing materials of practical use demanded by modern architecture.

It is laying firm foundations for increasing tile production in a more stable and sustainable way by raising the level of development of the raw materials for glaze and paint relying on domestic resources and building their production processes profitably on the principle of reducing the costs.
