Nation celebrates founding anniversary of WPK

All the people across the country significantly celebrated the 79th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

An endless stream of visitors flowed to the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, founder and builders of the WPK, are preserved in their lifetime appearance, to pay tribute to them.

Entering the park of its plaza, the visitors made deep bows to the portraits of the great leaders praying for their immortality.

Officials, working people, service personnel, youth and students visited the statues of the great leaders and mosaics depicting the peerlessly great persons across the country including those on Mansu Hill to lay flower baskets, bouquets and flowers before them.

Many people also visited the Monument to Party Founding.

There were national flag-raising ceremonies in different parts of the country.

Visitors to the Fifth National Sculpture and Craftwork Festival held at the Pyongyang International House of Culture to celebrate the 79th founding anniversary of the WPK looked round sculptures and craftworks reflecting the best wishes of all people to the great motherly Party.

Celebratory meetings and oratorical meetings were held by working people's organizations in South Phyongan, Jagang and North Hamgyong provinces, the city of Kaesong and other parts of the country.

Performances were given in Pyongyang and other parts of the country to celebrate the October holiday.

Dance parties of young people and members of the women's union held across the country revved up the festive atmosphere.

Service networks in the capital city and the provinces were crowded with visitors.

The Central Zoo, Natural History Museum, Munsu Water Park and other cultural and leisure centres were filled with happy laughter of the people.
