There was a men's volleyball game between the Kigwancha and Sobaeksu teams at Pyongyang Indoor Stadium on October 9 to celebrate the 79th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Among the spectators were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, and other senior Party, government and military officials, officials of the WPK Central Committee, deputies to the Supreme People's Assembly, men and officers of the Korean People's Army, working people and youth and students in Pyongyang.
The Kigwancha beat the Sobaeksu 3-0.
