Tanso
October 6, 2024Tanso is one of the smallest national wind instruments held vertically like thungso. It was also called “tanjok” for the short length.
With tanso, we can perform different styles of rendition and it is convenient to carry, too.
Today, it is widely used in solos, ensembles and concerts. In particular, it plays subjects in mixed orchestral works and also plays an important role in keeping alive the national characteristics in performing orchestral music.
