The DPRK’s countryside is changing.

Farm towns have mushroomed in different parts of the country, boasting of the civilization in the new era, and agricultural workers move into new houses.

When they heard the news about house moving at a farm for the first time, everyone was surprised and rejoiced at the singular event. But now it has become a history.

The news about house moving in rural villages has become an everyday occurrence in the life of the Korean people.

The rural community are now filled with joy and happiness, saying that they will move into new houses soon and that next year houses will be built in a better style in their villages.  

With a growing number of agricultural workers moving into new houses throughout the country and villages in parks increasing in number with the passage of time, a radical change has also taken place in the rhythm, habit and way of life of agricultural workers.

A dynamic all-people movement has been launched to keep their new villages and houses clean and manage them well with great enthusiasm to repay the growing favour shown by the country. In the midst of it, model families and neighbourhood units of socialist cultured way of life increase in number and a growing number of agricultural workers work heart and soul to produce more crops in order to lighten the burden of the country even a little.

In the flames of scientific farming, valuable experience has been gained in producing high yields across the country, both in the plains and mountainous areas, and the vast stretches of socialist fields are seething with activities to mechanize all farming processes.

The rapid progress of the rural technical revolution steadily increases the agricultural productive forces, making the country’s agriculture modern and advanced.

Agricultural science and technology are widely disseminated among agricultural workers to carry out the policy of the Workers’ Party of Korea on making all people well versed in science and technology, building up the technical force of the agricultural production units. Various advanced farming techniques and methods have been introduced positively including the nutritive seedlings and mulching cultivation method and farming operations turned into technical ones, providing good experiences for increasing the per-hectare yield even under the extreme weather conditions that hit the county in succession.

According to the WPK’s plan to step up the irrigation and mechanization of agriculture in a short time, gratifying scenes unfold in different parts of the country like new waterways built across the vast fields and efficient farm machines advancing along the farmland in row.

The rural community of the country is now being transformed with each passing day thanks to the WPK’s policy on rural construction to turn all the rural villages of the country into a rich and cultured socialist paradise.
