Sincere effort bears fruit

September 13, 2024

Early in June, an art performance was given by preschoolers at Kinmaul Kindergarten No. 1 in Moranbong District on the occasion of International Children’s Day.

That day, many parents were deeply impressed after seeing the performance.

In particular, Ri Myong Hui living in neighbourhood unit No. 5 of Janghyon-dong, Moranbong District, was distinguished.

She said that she seemed to have dreamed even at present.

Her granddaughter had hesitated to leave her house before, but had performed a dance piece.

In fact, she was in difficult condition to move alone because of her congenital illness.

And the grandmother was reluctant to send her granddaughter to the kindergarten.

One day, a woman who introduced her as chief of the kindergarten visited her home and asked the woman to entrust the granddaughter.

This made her granddaughter attend kindergarten.

Efforts of the teachers to devote themselves to Ri Se Yon were self-sacrificing.

They took her at the front seat to cultivate intellectual faculties of Se Yon, paying special attention to her. They also consolidated the contents they taught every day after the class was over.

And they worked hard to restore the physical strength of the crippled girl.

In those days, Se Yon’s body conditions improved remarkably and she was able to dance on the stage of the performance of June 1 International Children’s Day.

Many parents were delighted to see the performance, but the old woman was moved to tears with gratitude.

Their efforts devoted to her were not stopped even during the vacation.

While the parents were now relieved to see her recovered health, which was beyond recognition by others, the daily routine of the teachers for Se Yon remained unchanged.

Thanks to the sincerity shown by the teachers, Se Yon, who had remained as worries of the family, has become a beloved child, a pride of the kindergarten.
