Wreaths laid at martyrs cemeteries
September 10, 2024Wreaths were laid before the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong, the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery in Sinmi-ri and the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery on September 8 on the occasion of the 76th founding anniversary of the DPRK.
The guard of honour of the Korean People's Army lined up at the cemeteries.
Present at the wreath-laying ceremonies were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, and Jo Chun Ryong, Jon Hyon Chol and Pak Thae Song, secretaries of the Central Committee of the WPK, and other officials of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, the Cabinet and armed forces organs.
Amid the playing of the wreath-laying music, wreaths in the name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK were placed at the wreath-laying stands of those cemeteries.
All the participants paid silent tribute to the memory of the martyrs who devoted their all to the independence and sovereignty of the country and the victory of the socialist cause, remaining loyal to the Party's leadership.
